STATEMENT OF BELIEF

ABOUT GOD

We believe in one God, Creator and sustainer of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally co-existing in three persons- Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

ABOUT THE SCRIPTURES

The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired, inerrant and trustworthy Word of God. They are the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of human beings and are the final authority for all matters about which it speaks.

ABOUT MAN

We believe that human nature derives from two historical persons, male and female, created by God in His image. They were created perfect, but they sinned, plunging themselves and all humanity into sin, guilt, suffering, and death.

ABOUT JESUS

We believe that Jesus Christ is the virgin born Son of God who lived in human flesh, experiencing the trials and temptations of humanity, yet was without sin. Through his death and resurrection, he defeated Satan and all spiritual forces of evil and has provided us with spiritual armor by which we can live free from bondage of sin and oppression.

ABOUT SALVATION

We believe that the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ and his bodily resurrection provide the only ground for justification, forgiveness and salvation for all who believe. Only those who trust in him alone are true children of God, born of the Holy Spirit, true members of the church and will spend eternity with Christ.

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

That the Holy Spirit is the agent of regeneration and renewal for believers in Jesus Christ. He makes the presence of Jesus Christ real in believers, and he comforts, guides, convicts, and enables believers to live in ways that honor and glorify God.
As believers, let us live freely in the principles outlined in Heb. 12:1-2 “Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God”.
